What is Fibre to the Home (FTTH)/Fibre to the Property (FTTP)?
This type of connection uses fibre optic cables to deliver broadband directly to your home at the speed of light, making this much faster than ADSL/VDSL (Copper cabling). The location of your home in relation to the telephone exchange does not affect the performance of the lines, ensuring a more reliable and dependable broadband speed.
What’s the difference between fibre and other connection types?
Because there is a physical connection directly to your home (Full Fibre), your internet connection will not be affected by things like bad weather or a poor line of sight to the access point, which can sometimes occur with Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) services.
What speeds can I expect?
With our fibre packages, you have the choice as to what speeds you would like to receive to your property, this is to ensure that you are only paying for the bandwidth that you need. The packages available vary based on your location and are capable of up to 1000Mbps!
What is Partner Fibre?
As we are still rolling out our own fibre network, it may be neccessary to utilise the fibre infrastructure of a network partner, where we are unable to provide a direct connection to your home. This allows more customers to benefit from the fantastic service offered by Connexin, across the country, without the need to wait for our own fibre network to be in place.
