The gateways use LoRaWAN®, a low-power wireless communication technology. The power output is similar to a car key fob – just 14dBM, or 25mW – and much lower than everyday devices like Wi-Fi routers, mobile phones, or even baby monitors.
We’re also considerate of the environment during installation. We avoid trees with protection orders to make sure local habitats aren’t disturbed and prioritise existing infrastructure like streetlights when planning the network.
