Performing a hard reset of your router can fix issues with your connection or router settings, but it can also disrupt your setup.
Only follow the steps below if:
- Your router is yet to go online
- A Connexin team member has asked you to
- You've been directed here by an email or SMS from us
Here’s what you need to do:
Step 1: Power the router off at the plug.
Step 2: With the router off, press a pin into the small reset hole on the back. A paperclip, earring or anything small enough to fit is fine. The photos below show where you might find your reset button, depending on your router model.
Step 3: Keeping the reset button pressed in, turn the router back on at the plug, and keep holding the reset button for a full 60 seconds while it powers up again.
Step 4: Let the router finish restarting. Wait until the lights settle, then test your connection.
